csMaintain csMaintain is used to maintain the files on your server that you update on a regular basis. For example. If you are responsible for updating your department organization chart you can simply upload the latest file by clicking your mouse. You can use the script to maintain one file or many (unlimited). The files can be of any type (file extension). The use of this script is very easy, as is true for all our scripts. How to use csMaintain ============================================ 1) Login to the script using the username/password combination you selected during the setup process. 2) When you access the management screen you have 4 options to choose from: (A) Add a file to the list. (B) Overwrite (Maintain) a file on the list. (C) Remove a file from the list (this does not delete the file from the server). (D) Manage Users A) Add additional files to the Maintenance List: Click "Add File" then browse to the desired file on the server and select the file of choice. B) Overwrite files on the server: Click the "Overwrite" link. This will open up an upload window that will allow you to select a file from your local hard drive. Once the file is submitted it will overwrite the file on the server. The original name of the server file will remain (this will maintain link integrity). C) Remove files from the Maintenance List: Click "Remove" in the row of the file you wish to remove from the Maintenance List (this will not delete the file from the server). D) User Management: (i) Primary User Management (ii) Individual File User Management i) Primary User Management You can add/modify/delete users to the system by clicking the "User Management" link. After adding a user to the system it is available for each file. The users must be added to the primary user management in order to assign the user to a particular file. ii) Individual File User Management Now that the users have been created in the Primary User Management you can assign users to individual files. Each line of the Maintenance List has a link to the "Users" management. Click that link to access the user management. When you access the individual file user management you will see all the users listed with a checkbox next to their username. Check the box next to each user you would like to be able to maintain that particular file. You can go back and add/remove access as desired.
